SCHOOL OF THE BIBLE & MINISTRY
Faith Community School of the Bible & Ministry is an extension of Faith Community Church of the Nazarene. It is the fulfillment of a dream by the pastors, Scott Hubbard and Chris Chavez, to prepare men & women for more effective ministry through a deeper understanding of the Word of God along with the theological and practical tools needed to minister in the 21st Century.
The director, Dan Hopkins, developed a School of Ministry for pastors in the northern part of the Central California District of the Church of the Nazarene and then established a satellite campus of Caribbean Nazarene College on the island of Dominica. Dan has extensive experience teaching pastors and laymen the courses offered in this catalogue. In addition, Dan Hopkins has been recently certified as a John Maxwell trainer and member of the John Maxwell Group.

This class will explore the history and development of the Church of the Nazarene, giving particular attention to its roots in the Holiness Movement which swept America in the 19th century and spawned many denominations.

NEW CORE CHRISTIAN CLASS
CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY: “I BELIEVE”

CORE: Christian Theology is a study led by Pastor Kevin Portillo, and we will dig into this question: "What do we believe?" Have you ever been asked: "What do Christians believe in?" What do we believe about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the cross, creation, the Church, etc.? If you are curious about what we believe as the Church of Jesus, then come join us! This course will also help you disciple and guide non-Christians in conversation about what we believe. We will use the Apostles' Creed as our guide to summarize our Christian faith.
